The League operates the Rochester Works Career Training Center at the Monroe County Department of Human Services at 691 St. Paul Street. The Career Training Center specializes in helping low-income individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency. The Center is a structured career center and 27-station computer lab offering career assessments and career development workshops.
Customers can take career assessments such as Prove It! to determine what areas of employment are best for their skills. Other online assessment and skill development programs such as Work Keys and Key Train are also available. The Center also offers comprehensive case management to track clients' progress and to provide follow-up services for additional training needs.
The Career Training Center works closely with the Department of Human Services to operate intensive case management programs to assist public assistance recipients become more self-sufficient.
